Study Guide for Romans 8:28-30

This week’s passage is a short one…but full of rich truth.  Romans 8:28 is commonly quoted during difficult times.  However, most people have never studied it and applied in its context.

As you use your Bible Study Guide this week, it’s a great week to slow down and focus on almost every word in the passage.  Get the current guide by clicking here.

As always, be sure to post your insights below.

Have an awesome week of study!

Study Romans 8:18-27 This Week

Hey Everybody!

This is week 9 of our TRANSFORMATION Bible Study.  As we study our way through Romans 6-8, we’ve come to a great passage to help us get a better handle on suffering.  You can download a copy of the Bible Study Guide for this section by clicking here.

Our Bible study tip for this week launches us into the third step of Inductive Bible Study: APPLICATION.  Application means that we do something differently as a result of a truth we have learned. That’s “life-change” and it is God’s desire for each of us. If you do the work to see and understand what a passage means but don’t apply it to your own life, you have wasted your efforts. SO, pray that God will help you transfer His timeless truths into your daily living and with every passage, ask yourself, “HOW DOES THIS WORK FOR ME?” Use the APPLICATION acrostic on your study guide for ideas to get you started.

I’m looking forward to reading you comments this week, and to the message on Sunday.

Have a great week of study and APPLICATION!

Word Study Website

As you study Romans 8:1-4 this week, you may want to experiment with one of the Bible study reference tools listed on our website under the Helpful Study Links toolbar.

The site is called the Linked Word Project.  If you click here, the link will take you to the site that is set up for this week’s passage.  This uses the King James Version as the English translation.  However, the strength of the site is that each English word is linked to a definition of the word as it appears in the original languages used to write the Bible.

For instance, if you click here, you’ll see the King James text for Romans 8:1-4.  Once you set up the page to show the passage you want to study, then simply click on the word you want to investigate further.  For example, if you click on the words, “who walk” in verse 4, you’ll see that a fuller meaning of the phrase is not simply the idea of walking, but has more to do with how you conduct you life.

Use this site to investigate all the words or phrases that you want to explore at a deeper level, especially those that you don’t fully understand or view as being significant to your understanding of the passage.

So go for it! Have some fun. And share your insights with us in the Leave a Reply box below!
